Traffic Control Technician (Flagger) & Traffic Control Flagger Trainee
Traffic Control Technician (Flagger): Must have the capabilities to work in the field installing and maintaining temporary flagging work zones that properly control traffic through construction, maintenance, and utility work areas. This individual will also have the responsibility to protect their fellow worker, prevent unreasonable delays, and answer motorists’ questions politely and knowledgeably.
Flagger Trainee: Must have the willingness to learn, be trained, and pass certification to gain the capabilities needed to work in the field installing and maintaining temporary flagging work zones that properly control traffic through construction, maintenance, and utility work areas.
This classification will progress to the Traffic Control Technician classification after six (6) months of employment.
